GODZILLA: Kaiju Wars Unleashed Wiki

"An ancient alpha monster, millions of years older than mankind. This creature, we call him...Godzilla, the King of the Monsters, the top of a primordial ecosystem. No mere monster, but a god. They say he was born 65 million years ago, but I can tell you the beast that stood before me was born from the forces of nature herself...the force that would change the shape of the world itself."

Godzilla (Japanese: ゴジラ Hepburn: Gojira) is the titular protagonist of Godzilla: King of the Monsters The Series and a prehistoric dinosaur-like kaiju known as Gojirasaurus titanus. Originally a juvenile Godzilla, he quickly grew to full size by being transformed from the atomic energy of his deceased mother, Goddesszilla. Godzilla is known throughout the world and even the universe as "The King of the Monsters." As the series continued, the great beast has developed as a character and in the process, has become the savior of the Earth, protecting the world from other monsters, both from Earth and Outer Space. Since his first introduction, Godzilla has become a worldwide famous monster and, to this date, has saved both the Earth and humanity from countless threats many times alongside his many allies. He has also appeared in every single episode.

Biography[]

Origins[]

Godzilla was born and raised on Lagos Island sometime in the 1950's. There, he was taught by his mother, Goddesszilla, how to roar, breathe fire, and fight monsters. When he was a little monster, his mother was killed by fighting an outer space monster -- his space counterpart: SpaceGodzilla. That event drove Godzilla even further and he's always wanted to destroy that monster ever since. After she died, she somehow transferred her energy to him, and then Godzilla became more powerful than he was when he was little. Over the next century, Godzilla was supposedly alone due to his mothers' death. She was the most important thing in his life and without her, Godzilla was not only on his own, but had become the last of his kind as well. Throughout the series, Godzilla often dreamt about her. Though the continuum is sometimes different, it always ends the same way: with him watching her die.

Meeting Kong[]

One day, Godzilla ventured to Skull Island, the home of his rival, King Kong. Having traveled further inland, Godzilla then encountered Kong for the first time. Seeing him gave Godzilla the thought of a potential friend due to his loneliness resulted in his mother's death. But Kong, living on an island where he and his family have to fight for survival every day, reacted in defense, not trusting Godzilla which resulted in not just battling each other, but the beginning of their intense rivalry.

So as Kong and Godzilla battled to a standstill, Kong nearly put Godzilla out of his misery until the Monster King was saved by Kong's natural foe: Gorosaurus. So Godzilla and Gorosaurus defeated Kong together and then they set off into the world together. But then after a while and several fights with various monsters, Godzilla and Gorosaurus somehow got seperated and couldn't find each other. Thus, once again Godzilla all on his own. But a few years later, he came across Anguirus. After defeating the spiked dinosaur, the two became friends the next day. And with many more battles to come, they met other monsters that out offer to help Godzilla whenever they needed it.

It is mentioned that Godzilla had spared his life every time they fought, even in their first battle. After Godzilla told Kong about the death of his mother, Kong also started to envy him. Then Godzilla told Kong that the moment he saw him, he thought they could have been friends, due to his loneliness, but since Kong lived on an island where he had to fight for survival, he didn't trust Godzilla. And Godzilla didn't blame him for that, especially since he never wanted to fight Kong. Godzilla had spared Kong's life not because he had a family, but because they had him. He didn't want Kong's kids to go through the exact same thing he (Godzilla) did: to experience what the loss of a parent would be like and he didn't want to be a monster like SpaceGodzilla, the very monster that took everything from Godzilla.

Monsterous Pilot[]

In Monsterous Pilot, Godzilla makes his very first appearance in the series. Godzilla watches hopelessly as his mother bids him farewell, letting out one final roar, and dies. Screaming in sadness and rage and now the last of his kind, Godzilla prepares to leave his home, but then his mothers energy somehow transfers over to him and he quickly grows into his first adult stage. He lets out his first roar to the world, takes one final look at his mother, and then buries her in boulders as her grave. Godzilla then takes his leave of Lagos Island.

Over 50 years pass, and Godzilla remains alone in the world. One day, he feels a disturbance in Osaka and arrives to stop it. Confronting the giant ankylosaur/armadillo-like kaiju Anguirus, the two monsters charge at one another and battle to a standstill. Godzilla eventually defeated Anguirus and left Osaka. Godzilla was then home at Monster Island, sleeping. He was then awoken by Anguirus. Believing the monster came for a rematch, the King of the Monsters prepared to fight, but Anguirus convinced him to stop. Anguirus then held out his hand and Godzilla then shook hands with the monsters, sparkling the beginning of their friendship.

The next day, Anguirus is ambushed by a few Kamacuras. Godzilla then comes to his aid and they defeated the giant insect kaijus. Unbeknowst to the both of them however, Godzilla's and Aguirus's fight with the Kamacuras awoken the tunneling kaiju Telesdon, who defeated a single Sadora.

Anguirus was then confronted by Telesdon the following day. Anguirus put up a good fight, but he was soon brought down by Telesdon's flames. Godzilla arrived and helped Anuguirus defeat and drive off the tunneling worm-like dinosaur kaiju.

When the Volcano Bird Monster Birdon is set free from Mount Mihara, Godzilla comes to battle the monster. Ultraman Mebius had already been overpowered and defeated by the monster, so the Monster King confronted the Ultra-Killer. At first, the two monsters battled to a standstill, with neither being able to overpower the other.

However, Birdon injected Godzilla with his poison. Though Godzilla was in pain at first, he managed to fight through the poison and pull Birdon's beak out of his body. Godzilla then, seemingly without effort, managed to overpower Birdon. When the Monster King had the bird monster in defeat, Godzilla then collapsed due to the poison. Birdon then flew away, leaving Godzilla's body.

Godzilla emerges from the crater of Mount Fuji

In the Season 2 premier The Return of the King of the Monsters, as the Earth Defenders were at the mercy of Biollante, a powerful lightning struck the hulking plant monster and Godzilla (even stronger than before) emerged from the crater of Mount Fuji, and made his way toward the base of the mountain.

Godzilla stared at the strange creature, which panicked and began to attack him. Both monsters seriously wounded each other and Biollante wrapped her vines around Godzilla. Godzilla immediately retaliated by blasting Biollante with his atomic breath, causing her to hemorrhage. As he managed to bury her under a large pile of boulders, the plant-like beast emerged from the ruble and then Godzilla pushed her to the edge of the opening-crator in Mount Fuji as it began to close.

Godzilla was then pulled back as the plant used her vines to wrap around him and take him with her, but the Monster King used his highly powerful spiral beam upon the giant rose monster and Biollante was erupted in flames as she fell into the mountain, screaming in agony. She is seemingly destroyed as a result.

Personality[]

"Godzilla is no mere mortal dinosaur nor just any monster. He is a god. There's something in those eyes of his...a light that glows like the sun itself, surpassed by the power of the heart, that speaks of something over-worldly. Although we humans seem to be mere ants to him, something either beneath his notice or the subject of his contempt...I strangely find myself thinking that perhaps we are being saved. Although man has overstepped his boundaries, time and time again, simply for the sake of money, power and the blood of our enemies, I believe Godzilla may be here to not punish us...but to keep order, because I believe that he is the living power to restore the balance of nature, between humans and kaiju. Now, I'm not a very religious man, but in an day and age where gods walk the earth, I can't help but feel like we are close to our own salvation."

Godzilla is an unthinkably strong, empathetic, determined, wise, patient, absolute, and enigmatic kaiju. He has been known to be unpredictable in battle. Godzilla is considered the most powerful animal on the planet, due to the incredible amount of raw energy contained in his body, not to mention his ferocious nature towards his enemies. Some people have even called Godzilla a true force of nature, others even call him a living god.

Godzilla usually lives beneath the ocean's waves, slumbering until he is called upon to face any fearsome threat. In addition to having defended the Earth from aliens, mutants, and other external threats, Godzilla has also included "humans" in the list of things he deliberately protects. Therefore, it is often other more threatening monsters that arouse Godzilla's ire and, like most kaiju, he considers humanity worth saving. Because of this fact, humanity, the Global Defense Force, even the Ultramen, consider Godzilla to be the true savior of the Earth.

Godzilla has also been called an emotional creature whose mother was killed by SpaceGodzilla which also completely destroyed his island habitat, with the Shobijin stating that the cause of that event "scarred" him deeply. Enraged and driven from his home, Godzilla looked to take out his revenge, destroying any monster that he encountered but eventually developed a desire to make friends.

However, despite his rage and pain, Godzilla is an animal with at least semi-sapience that stumbles upon human civilization without any malicious intent whatsoever, trying his best not to destroy anything and only destroying man-made structures or obstacles, like buildings, when he is provoked, thrown, or when he is dead-set on arriving at a certain location.

As the Godzilla series continued, the monster developed as a character, and has since become a savior of the Earth, saving the world from dangerous monsters like King Ghidorah, MechaGodzilla, Gigan, and even SpaceGodzilla, whether alone or alongside other monsters like Rodan, Anguirus, and Mothra.

In the later season 3 to 4, Godzilla's behavior seems to have partially changed, becoming that of a somewhat territorial animal. Ishiro Serizawa theorized that Godzilla is the driving force to restore balance to nature whenever that balance is disrupted, suggesting that he essentially considers the entire Earth to be his territory.

Additionally, Godzilla doesn't blatantly attack or plow through ships at sea simply because they are there. In fact, with larger ships like aircraft carriers, he simply dove down under them. He also does not seem to intentionally cause destruction. Even when he destroyed the Golden Gate Bridge, it did not appear to be intentional, but rather just him reacting from being hit by missile fire. He shows quite an interest in humans while also focusing his attention entirely on the monsters than cause them harm. After defeating monsters, he leaves the humans alone without any more conflict.

Physical Appearance[]

Godzilla's appearance has changed over the course of the series, but many defining details have endured. Godzilla is depicted as a gigantic, prehistoric dinosaur-like creature with rough, bumpy, usually charcoal gray scales, a long powerful tail, and generally bone-white dorsal plates, generally shaped like maple leaves, though there are some designs whose traits may differ. Godzilla's iconic design is composed of a mixture of various species of dinosaurs; specifically, he has the body and overall shape of an old model of a Tyrannosaurus, the long arms of an Iguanodon, and the dorsal plates of a Stegosaurus.

Godzilla (1973) - Infobox
Throughout Season 1, Godzilla's original appearance is a plain, bell-shape, streamlined body with a pronounced breast bone, a short neck, with defined brows and menacing eyes. As well as silver, puffy, pillow-like designed dorsal spines. The face looks friendly with also a semi-comical and semi-mean look, a rounded muzzle, over-sized brows and huge eyes. Godzilla's eyes are movable and had movable eyelids.

A mid-Heisei Godzilla suit that is fatter than Godzilla 2014
In Season 2, Godzilla was given a whole new look. To convey a feeling of mass and power, his head was reduced and the neck elongated. His face also changed and appeared to be more feline in appearance. Godzilla's head design was changed as well: a smaller, flat forehead, golden eyes and a thick neck with pronounced ribbing. His golden eyes made his face more realistic, animal-like expression. His irises were enlarged to fill most of the eye sockets, projecting the impression of mammalian cunning. Godzilla's teeth were increased to include a double row of sharp teeth in both the upper and lower jaws. Significant musculature was added, giving Godzilla a more massive and muscular body, particularly around the chest and thigh area. Godzilla was given a stocky, triangular build, broad shoulders and heavy legs. Godzilla's tail was also more movable. The lateral dorsal fins were also enlarged almost to the size of the center row. The arrangement of the dorsal plates was changed and the largest plate was located in the middle of the back. In the Season 2 finale Giant Monster All-Out Alien Attack, to create the critical mass appearance of Godzilla for this episode, sections of Godzilla's body were covered with red, orange and yellow light of energy around his entire body. Hie body was also fitted with a mechanism that allowed steam to pour from various parts of Godzilla's body. The eyes were also modified to glow.

Godzilla vs
In Season 3, Godzilla returned from the grave. The new look was an all new, very radical look for Godzilla. Godzilla's body was painted a natural, dark shade of green. It was the first appearance Godzilla was officially green, where as previous forms were mostly painted charcoal black. The scales on his body were more detailed and prominent, his dorsal plates were large and jagged with a purple tint to them, and his head shape was thinner, making him look more reptilian. Godzilla possessed a long neck and his mouth and eyes, which possessed red irises (to make him look more intimidating), contained the trademark "frown" present on other appearances; the tongue was long and teeth had the old fangs, and his eyes were white with red irises and black pupils.

Name[]

Godzilla, or Gojira (ゴジラ?), comes from a combination of the Japanese approximation of "gorilla" (ゴリラ Gorira?), and kujira (クジラ?), the Japanese word for "whale." The name is said to have been chosen to represent the size and strength of both animals.

Powers and Abilities[]

Being the King of the Monsters, Godzilla is endowed with a wide range of various powers and abilities that he can use against even the most powerful foes. Godzilla is not only the most powerful of his kind, but is generally considered to be the most powerful monster in the universe, as is expressed by his title, "the King of the Monsters." Some have even said the he's all-powerful. He is described as having "unstoppable fury, unthinkable power, and unbreakable will." As the leader of the Earth Guardians, he is also the strongest and most powerful of them all. Throughout the series, his powerful have not only increase, but he also retains his previous powers while retaining new ones. With this power, some people have even called Godzilla a living "God".

Even in his original appearance, Godzilla possessed a variety of powerful attacks that made him the most powerful force on the face of the Earth.

Godzilla's Atomic Ray

  • Atomic Ray: His signature weapon, Godzilla can launch a powerful, concentrated, neon-blue ray of pure radioactive energy from his mouth. This Atomic ray has explosive and kinetic properties and can cause massive damage, igniting and setting fires, creating massive explosions to nearly anything it hits and can completely kill all but the strongest monsters with a single shot. The ray can even be used to propel Godzilla through the air.
    • Flight: By firing his atomic breath directly at the ground, Godzilla can use his atomic ray as jet propulsion to actually propel himself into the air and take flight.
  • Intelligence: While humans often assume Godzilla is a wild brutish animal, Godzilla has demonstrated intelligence on par with, if not, exceeding human intelligence. Godzilla is able to fully communicate with other giant monsters by speaking a language of roars and grunts that only giant monsters understand. Godzilla employs strategy in battle against more powerful foes and has found and exploited scientific weaknesses in his opponents that even humans were not aware of.
  • Super Strength: Godzilla possesses incredible physical strength, allowing him to knock down large buildings and lift and throw opponents several times his size with ease.

Godzilla's sliding kick

  • Whip Tail Slide: Godzilla’s tail is very long and can be used as it a whip, perfect for bashing and whipping opponents. In addition, by leaning back on his tail and supporting his own weight, allowing him to slide on it, Godzilla can slide across the ground to deliver devastating kicks to opponents.
  • Super Durability: Godzilla's hide is virtually indestructible and can not damaged by conventional weapons, allowing him to withstand gunfire, missiles, and even blows from other monsters with impressive resistance. Few opponents can pierce Godzilla's skin and draw blood.
  • Regeneration: Godzilla has an enhanced regenerative ability, allowing him to heal fatal and non-fatal wounds almost instantly. He heals much faster than any Godzilla before or after. Godzilla's regeneration is due to a substance in his cells known as Organizer G1.
  • Sixth Sense: Godzilla has a keen ability to detect when he is in danger. He can use this to even sense when powerful attacks are being aimed directly at him. He can even use this sense to detect opponents from behind and attack them without looking.
  • Fireballs: Godzilla can fire focused, powerful, explosive fireballs from his mouth that can destroy weaker monsters in one strike.
  • Laser Vision Beams: Godzilla can fire a laser vision from his eyes that either free trapped monsters or ultras or they can give ultra's more energy. Godzilla can also use this laser vision to melt steal and rocks and even turn sand into glass. In addition, Godzilla's laser beams are capable of causing explosions to opponents.
GVMG13-0
  • Electrical Absorption: After being exposed to electrical energy for the first time, Godzilla has come to be able to absorb it into his body, using it to increase his strength, enhance his regeneration, and/or save it within his body so that he may become a magnetic force field.
  • Magnetic Force Field: By absorbing electricity, Godzilla can turn himself into a living magnetic pole, drawing anything made of metal toward him.
Mega74 (18)
  • Super Atomic Beam: After charging himself with powerful energy, Godzilla is able to unleash a much stronger, destructive, devastating beam of pure atomic energy from his mouth. This super atomic beam is exceptionally powerful, capable of creating massive explosions that rival his own size, setting large fires to nearly anything it hits, and also completely destroying some of the toughest of adversaries with a single swipe.

During his slumber within Mount Fuji, Godzilla somehow absorbed the nuclear power of the Volcano and therefore not only physically changed in appearance but also in power and size. After awakening, he had naturally grown even stronger and more powerful than he was before. In addition, he also gained new powers and abilities.

Godzilla's Spiral Beam

  • Spiral Beam: A more powerful, devastating variation of Godzilla's atomic breath, the orange spiral ray can only be fired when Godzilla is under extreme stress or has absorbed a considerable amount of power. It is an orange beam that is wrapped in an orange electrical spiral and has enough of the firepower to completely destroy the strongest of enemies (like Biollante, Bogal, Fire Golza, Antlar, Destoroyah, and King of Mons) and generate massive explosions even larger than Godzilla himself. In addition, as he absorbs more radiation, the beam will also increase in power.
  • Energy Conduction: Godzilla is capable of discharging energy through his physical blows at opponents by conducting energy through his touch. In addition, Godzilla can also surge this attack through his bite.

  • Burning Transformation: At any given moment, after absorbing enough nuclear energy and fuel power when needed, Godzilla’s entire body will turn into a blazing inferno and he himself is capable of transforming himself into his much stronger Burning form.

When needed or even if under extreme and stressful circumstances, Godzilla will transform into his burning form and his powers will increase.

  • Atomic Ray: His signature weapon, Godzilla's dorsal fins glow auspiciously and then he can launch an orange-yellow, concentrated ray of pure radiation from his mouth. This powerful ray has explosive and kinetic properties and can cause massive damage, igniting and setting fires, creating massive explosions that rival his own size to nearly anything it hits and can completely kill all but the strongest monsters with a single shot. The ray can even be used to propel Godzilla through the air. It even has a powerful concussion force, able to force back opponents effortlessly.
    • Flight: By firing his atomic breath directly at the ground, Godzilla can use his atomic ray as jet propulsion to actually propel himself into the air and take flight.
    • High Temperature Spikes: Godzilla’s spikes unleash a tremendous amount of high temperature when he charges his atomic ray, able to burn opponents who touch them and set smaller opponents and/or objects that land on them aflame.
  • Intelligence: While humans often assume Godzilla is a wild brutish animal, Godzilla has demonstrated intelligence on par with, if not exceeding, human intelligence. Godzilla is able to fully communicate with other giant monsters by speaking a language of roars and grunts that only giant monsters understand. Godzilla employs strategy in battle against more powerful foes and has found and exploited scientific weaknesses in his opponents that even humans were not aware of. Examples would be when Godzilla destroyed SpaceGodzilla's power source in the Fukuoka Tower and when he and Kiryu struck as Orga with the absolute Zero Cannon when he was regenerating Godzilla and Kiryu could reach its core and destroy it so Orga could not regenerate.
  • Energy Absorption: An ability unique to himself, Godzilla has a remarkable capacity for absorbing various forms of energy. Godzilla naturally feeds on radiation, but can also draw power from plasma or electrical energy. He is capable of absorbing nuclear energy in order to grow in power and unleash new, deadly attacks. Additionally, he is still capable of absorbing electricity, using it to increase his strength, enhance his regeneration and/or save it within his body so that he may become a magnetic force field. Godzilla also once displayed the ability to absorb enemy attacks and project the energy back at the source using his atomic breath, which he once did to defeat King Ghidorah.
  • Supernatural Strength: Godzilla possesses varied levels of extremely incredible physical strength as attributed by his size, weight, mass, and musculature, allowing him to easily knock down large buildings and lift and throw other opposing monsters, some several times heavier than his size, with ease. He had grown even much stronger than ever before.
  • Advanced Regeneration: Even though his hide is near impenetrable, Godzilla has an far more enhanced regenerative ability, allowing him to heal fatal and non-fatal wounds just about instantly. He heals much faster than any Godzilla before or after and even much faster than he ever has before. Godzilla's cells are next to immortal and allow him to regenerate near-supremely quickly, if injured, from practically any wound, including being completely disintegrated or blown to smithereens. Godzilla's regeneration is due to a substance in his cells known as Organizer G1, which has proven to be highly mutagenic to other creatures, such as Biollante and Orga.
  • Supernatural Durability: Godzilla's hide is next to indestructible and is not damaged at all by conventional weapons, allowing him to withstand gunfire, missiles, and even blows from other monsters with impressive resistance. Few of Godzilla's opponents can pierce Godzilla's skin and draw blood. Only Gigan and Mechagodzilla were able to consistently do so. Godzilla has taken on two miniature black holes and survived both with no visible damage. Godzilla also survived a direct hit from an energy beam at absolute zero.

  • Long Prehensile Tail Whip Slide: Godzilla's tail is very long, flexible and so powerful that it can be used as if a whip, perfect for whipping, bashing, and bludgeoning against even the strongest of enemies. In addition, by leaning back on his tail and supporting his own weight, allowing him to slide on it, Godzilla can slide across the ground to deliver devastating kicks to opponents. The end of the tail is also prehensile, allowing it to be able to coil and curl around and constrict any opponent's limbs.

Godzilla's Super Atomic Ray

  • Super Atomic Ray: After absorbing energy, Godzilla is capable of charging himself with more than enough energy and gathering all that energy into his atomic ray, unleashing a larger, stronger, more powerful version of his atomic heat ray from his mouth. This purple-colored super atomic ray is extremely powerful, capable of striking targets, even ones over the longest of distances as far as the atmosphere, and completely destroying some of the toughest of opponents in just one single shot. The ray can even be used to push opponents, even ones much larger than himself, high into the air, launch opponents hundreds of feet back and penetrate an opponent’s energy barrier.
  • Razor Spikes: Not only does Godzilla's spines glow and release large amounts of heat while charging his beam, but also are very sharp in some incarnations. The edges of the tallest spike of Godzilla is extremely sharp, allowing him to be able to cut straight through buildings and even cut off an opponent’s limbs in a single pass.

Godzilla's Nuclear Pulse

  • Nuclear Pulse: Should an opponent hold him, Godzilla can surge and then release a powerful shockwave blast of nuclear energy from throughout his entire body, which is useful when he is restrained or in close combat with a foe, throwing whatever touches him away. In addition, Godzilla can also unleash more powerful waves of radioactive power to strike down everything in a 400-meter radius. Once done, his entire body will generate a tremendous explosion, destroying everything around him.
  • Energy Conduction: Godzilla is capable of discharging energy through his physical blows at opponents by conducting energy through his touch. In addition, Godzilla can surge this attack through his bite and even use it to block even the most powerful of an opponent’s energy.
  • Danger Sense: Godzilla has a keen ability to detect when he is in danger. He can use this to even sense when powerful attacks are being aimed directly at him. He can even use this sense to detect opponents from behind and attack them without looking.
  • Fireballs: Godzilla can fire much focused, very powerful, explosive fireballs from his mouth that can destroy all but the strongest of opponents in one strike.
  • Magnetic Force Field: By absorbing electricity, Godzilla can turn himself into a living magnetic pole, drawing anything made of metal toward him.
  • Laser Vision Beams: Godzilla can fire a laser vision from his eyes that either free trapped monsters or ultras or they can give ultra's more energy. Godzilla can also use this laser vision to melt steal and rocks and even turn sand into glass. In addition, Godzilla's laser beams are capable of causing massive explosions to opponents.

Being the most powerful monster of all, Godzilla is extremely armed to almost every single part of his body from head to tail. He has shown many strong and powerful fight skills and combat effectiveness over the course of the series. Not only can Godzilla use his highly powerful energy-based attacks but also uses extremely powerful physical attacks: using his strong hands, arms, legs, feet, body, even his head to fight, and can also bring in his powerful tail into play as a weapon for extremely effective and powerful hand-to-hand combat.

He can deal much of a lot of damage with his famous atomic fire breath at his enemies too and uses this powerful attack to destroy most threats from a distance, but has proved to be a fearsome hand-to-hand combatant, especially when he can bring his powerful tail into play. Godzilla's most mysterious ability may be his incredible, uncanny sixth sense, which always gives him time and the right places to travel to exactly where he needs to be. For his fighting skills, one could go as far as to say that Godzilla almost fights like a normal human being. Also, Godzilla has shown many sorts of hand-to-hand combat moves.

  • Razor Spikes: In the millennium form of Godzilla, he was capable of ducking from an incoming opponent and using his razor sharp spikes to cut off limbs of an opponent.
  • Environmental Advantage: Godzilla has also been shown to use gigantic mountain-like rocks or even large building structures to his advantage to wound his opponents.
  • Powerful Throws: And he’s also had a habit of throwing or tossing his opponents, even if they could fly, and send them crashing.
  • Strike first, strike fast: When Godzilla starts a battle, he usually brings either one or both of his hands out, do the “Come on” signal, as he sort of tells his opponents to, “(Bring it) on” or “Give me/Take your best shot”. When that happens, his opponents will charge at him and Godzilla looks fast at their body for a weakness or weak spots, even if it’s just one, and once he sees an opening and the opponent is close enough, he strikes them at either their weak spot, sometimes the head, stomach, or chest region with deadly force or simply he can just trip them or even duck and force them on top of his body and force them to crash as they roll down his back side.
  • Tail Slam & Punch: If an opponent is in a disorientated state, Godzilla uses his powerful tail to smash them about five times, and then uses his head, hands, feet, or tail again to knock them hundreds of yards back.
  • Powerful Kicks: When Godzilla sees the opportunity, he charges at his opponents and can bring his legs out and kick with deadly force.
  • Shoulder Roll Tail Slam: He also does a sort of shoulder roll like humans can and brings down his powerful tail with intensely strong force and can send his opponents in a kind of spinning mode and send them crashing to the ground.
  • Tail Slide Kick: Similar to Gorosaurus, when the moment is right, Godzilla can slide on his tail and deliver powerful, devastating, quick kicks and even send opponents flying.
  • Body Flip Slam: Another skill is if Godzilla and his opponents charge at one another, Godzilla uses either his right or left arm to flip them over and then brings down his strong fist or arm to smash his opponents.
  • Sixth Scent Attack: If an opponent sneaks up on Godzilla and Godzilla is listening, not only can he attack the opponents without looking or even thinking, he’s capable of using his prehensile tail to sort of coil around certain body parts of an opponent, pull them and smash them to the ground, and sort of drag them across the floor and send them crashing into gigantic rocks or large buildings.
  • Charging Arm Ram: Whenever Godzilla runs towards an opponent, he uses his powerful arms to hit them in the head region or ram his head into them like a battering ram. Either way, it causes the opponents to crash to the ground.
  • Seismic Toss: Godzilla grabs his opponent and lifts them above his head before tossing them in the opposite direction.
  • Foot Volley: The nuclear menace kicks his opponent into the air and then jumps after them to perform a dual kick as they fall.

Weaknesses[]

Despite his incredible power and although Godzilla is essentially immortal and has proven to be extremely powerful, hence he is the most powerful monster in the world, he has displayed that he possesses several to a few exploitable weaknesses over the years.

  • Electricity (formerly): Godzilla had shown to be vulnerable to and possessed an aversion to extremely high and strong voltages of electricity. King Kong was even able to defeat Godzilla using his electrical attacks. Eventually, Godzilla gained a mastery over electricity and it became a power source for him rather than a weakness. As the series progressed, lightning (i.e., electricity found in nature) has been shown to have the opposite effect, at times serving to revitalize him.
  • Cadmium: Because Godzilla's heart is a nuclear reactor, scientists proposed that the element cadmium, which is used to cool down nuclear reactors, might shut down his heart, as Godzilla has shown to be vulnerable to cadmium. The warcraft Super-X fired cadmium shells down Godzilla's throat and successfully stopped his heart, but only temporarily. Godzilla's immune system was able to overcome the effects of the cadmium and he soon regained consciousness. Still, cadmium continued to be an effective way to temporarily subdue Godzilla.
  • Emotional Weaknesses: Some of Godzilla's more cruel enemies, like SpaceGodzilla, utilized Godzilla's emotional connection to his friends and family as a way to attack him. SpaceGodzilla mercilessly killed Godzilla's mother in cold blood right in front of Godzilla, taunting him. Though these moves successfully harmed Godzilla emotionally, it was ultimately his anger and determination for vengeance that allowed him to overcome these enemies.

Relationships[]

Family[]

Godzilla and Goddesszilla[]

Goddesszilla was Godzilla's mother. Godzilla loved her more than anything else and they were very close. She also taught Godzilla almost everything he knows about how to be a Ruler of Monsters. She was the most important thing in his life. After she died, Godzilla was left all alone and became the last of his kind. Godzilla missed her so much, to this day he still does. Godzilla can never get her out of his mind or out of his dreams. And the dream always ended the same way: with him watching her die.

Godzilla and Godzilla Junior[]

Godzilla Junior is the adopted son of Godzilla. After the Mother of Ultra gave the young monster to Godzilla, the Monster King took in the teenage Godzilla. Though at very first unsure about Junior, Godzilla quickly accepted the young Godzilla and adopted him. Since then, Godzilla has been teaching Junior everything he knows about being a Godzilla. For now, Junior is the Prince of the Monsters, but when he grows up, he will one day become the new King of the Monsters.

Godzilla and GFantis[]

GFantis is Godzilla's long lost cousin. he visits Monster Island, The Earth Defenders are attacking him but Godzilla stops them, and he instantly recognizes him as his very long lost cousin, Godzilla greeted his cousin GFantis to his island home, Godzilla Jr. couldn't believe who he just met, GFantis becomes an Uncle to him and takes care of him while Godzilla is out to fight Bagan.

Friends[]

Godzilla and Anguirus[]

Anguirus is Godzilla's best friend (alongside Rodan and Mothra) and his most trusted ally and companion who fights right by Godzilla's side in almost every battle he's been in throughout the entire series. Godzilla greatly respects his friendship with Anguirus, as seen when he brutally murders any monsters who badly hurt Anguirus. However, Anguirus wasn't always friends with Godzilla. When they first encountered each other, Godzilla and Anguirus battled one another in Osaka. Anguirus was Godzilla's first foe in the series. When Godzilla won the battle, Anguirus followed him and respected that Godzilla was stronger than him, and they quickly became friends. Anguirus is quick to jump to Godzilla's aid, whether he does or even if or when he doesn't really need it. And Godzilla, in turn, not only does the same but also he has never turned his aggression on his shorter ally since their epic battle in Osaka. Throughout the entire series, whenever the Earth is threatened, Godzilla comes to its defense and Anguirus is be right beside him, until the end. Out of all of Godzilla's friends, Anguirus is the best friend he's ever had.

Godzilla and Rodan[]

Rodan is Godzilla's other best friend (alongside Anguirus and Mothra) and his "wingman" when it comes to battle. Rodan has a strong relationship with Godzilla. Although Rodan is a largely solitary kaiju, he does seem to share a close bond with Godzilla, Anguirus, and Mothra. The four have been seen fighting alongside each other, but sometimes Rodan is usually the first to leave. Godzilla saved Rodan's life from Hedorah and the two defeated the alien tadpole. Since then, Rodan has learned to work with him to fight off enemy monsters and has also been grateful too the Monster King ever since. Rodan and Godzilla share a decent relationship with one another and the two are on good terms, as seen with a friendly high-five. Because Rodan is a short-tempered monster, he can be very protective of Godzilla whenever he is in trouble or threatened. Like Anguirus, whenever the Earth is threatened, Rodan will be by Godzilla's side to defend it until the end.

Godzilla and Mothra[]

Mothra is Godzilla's closest friend. Although she is the Guardian of the Earth and usually above the atmosphere protecting the planet from any threat that comes to Earth, Mothra is more commonly on Earth with the other Guardian monsters, especially and including Godzilla. Due to her past with Godzilla and his mother, the two share a very close friendship/bond between each other, therefore, they have a symbiotic relationship. Mothra is extremely protective of Godzilla and would do anything, even risk her own life, to save him. Whenever Godzilla is in trouble or in danger, Mothra is almost always the first one to arrive on the scene to aid and save Godzilla. She has often acted as the motherly/sisterly figure toward him and is very caring of Godzilla. Interestingly, Mothra seems to have taken a particular interest in the mutant dinosaur, and one would even go so far as to say she sees a sense of responsibility for the monster. Godzilla's friendship with Mothra has taken him to great lengths in demonstrating this, from facing monsters much stronger than him to even attempting to sacrifice his own life to protect her. Godzilla however is by far the most important figure in her life. Like Anguirus and Rodan, she will be right by Godzilla's side to defend the Earth whenever it is threatened until the end.

Godzilla and Baragon[]

Although he is an old friend of Mothra’s, Baragon is a good friend and ally of Godzilla's who was enlisted by Mothra to join forces with him.

Godzilla and King Caesar[]

Despite being the Guardian Monster of Okinawa, King Caesar aided Godzilla in battling Neronga and then followed Godzilla to Monster Island to continue fighting alongside Godzilla in many battles throughout the series. King Caesar himself, seeming a very wise and noble kaiju, interestingly is one of the only monsters that Godzilla will seemingly look up to and even respect. There had even been scattered eye-witness accounts of King Caesar "training" Godzilla, teaching the giant saurian in such a way that an elderly martial artist would teach a younger pupil, before the final battle against the Simeon forces.

Godzilla and Varan[]

A trusted ally of Godzilla's, Varan was one of the first members of the group after Godzilla saved him from being defeated by Megalon. Since then, Varan has been grateful and loyal to Godzilla. Out of all of Godzilla’s friends, Varan is quite possibly the most mysterious— with first-hand sightings of him remain relatively rare.

Godzilla and Gamera[]

Godzilla and Gamera are close friends and have a deep understanding for one another. The two make such a good team because they have a lot in common. When Godzilla and Gamera first met, they (along with Gamera's father, who died in battle) fought Gyaos in Tokyo. Like Godzilla and Mothra, Gamera became the last of his kind. Godzilla understands what Gamera feels when Gamera saw his father die before his own eyes. Godzilla also once told Gamera that he knows better than anyone what it is like to be the last of one’s kind, as well as the most powerful, and to lose loved ones.

Godzilla and King Kong[]

Kong is an old, longtime rival of Godzilla's. Due to his past with Godzilla, the two shared an animosity towards each other. When Godzilla first saw and met Kong, seeing him gave Godzilla the thought of a new, possible friend due to his loneliness and his mother’s death. But Kong, living on an island where he had to fight for survival, reacted in defense, not trusting Godzilla which resulted in not just battling each other, but the beginning of their intense rivalry. The most physically powerful of the Earth Defenders, Kong is fiercely territorial and has been known to tussle with Godzilla at times, but when Kong's Island, and in fact the entire world is threatened, the two Earth Guardians put aside their rivalry with each other and save the world from threats of the Aliens and Mutants. Kong and Godzilla’s relationship differs throughout the series. Although the two may have their differences, may not agree with each other and don't see eye to eye, they make a good team when it comes to saving the day. Kong and Godzilla grow friendlier of each other as the series progresses, which started when Godzilla returned from the dead. When that happened, Kong finally started to respect Godzilla, knowing that Godzilla couldn't be killed. Even though they had a fight in one of the last episodes, Kong lost and once again respected Godzilla even more for his superior strength. Every time Kong uses his electrical grip on Godzilla, he just makes Godzilla stronger and Kong respected Godzilla for he was even much stronger and far more powerful than him and although Kong is smart and strong, he is nowhere near a match in raw power and durability as Godzilla. Kong was also often but very curious as to why Godzilla had spared his life every time they fought, even in their first battle. After Godzilla told Kong about the death of his mother, Kong also started to envy him. Then Godzilla told Kong that the moment he saw him, he thought they could have been friends, due to his loneliness, but since Kong lived on an island where he had to fight for survival, he didn’t trust Godzilla. And Godzilla didn’t blame him for that, especially since he never wanted to fight Kong. Godzilla had spared Kong’s life not because he had a family, but because they had him. He didn’t want Kong’s kids to go through the exact same thing he (Godzilla) did. He did not want Kong’s kids to experience what it would be like to lose a parent and he didn’t want to be a monster like SpaceGodzilla, the very monster that took everything from Godzilla. After that, Kong and Godzilla put aside their intense rivalry for good and continued to battle side by side with one another. When the final battle was over, King Kong returned to Skull Island to live in peace with his beloved wife and children and Kong and Godzilla finally said their goodbyes and parted ways.

Godzilla and Gorosaurus[]

Gorosaurus is Godzilla's Oldest Friend and mentor. Gorosaurus taught Godzilla a lot of the things he knows and Gorosaurus is considered a veteran, showing a combatitive side, and even offering to spar with Godzilla when no one else would. He is not seen hanging around Godzilla's main group like Anguirus, Rodan, or even Mothra but still maintains a decent friendship with the Monster King and his friends. Back when they were running together, Gorosaurus was and still is like a big brother to Godzilla, having taught Godzilla a lot about fighting.

Godzilla and Manda[]

Manda is another old friend, ally, and companion of Godzilla’s. She has often aided Godzilla in various battles. She has once stated that she loves Godzilla so much, he’s like a big brother to her. After Godzilla saved her life once, she offered to help him whenever he needed it. She once told Mothra that she had feelings for Godzilla and it’s not hard to fall in love with him.

Godzilla and Zilla Junior[]

Due to their similarities, Zilla Junior has developed a kinder-ship with Godzilla, seeing him as a father figure. Godzilla has taken care of Zilla Junior ever since he was a hatchling after the Original Zilla was killed. As a result, Zilla is very protective of him. He also has the power to sense when Godzilla is in trouble.

Allies[]

Godzilla and Kiryu[]

Even though Kiryu is a cyborg built around using the bones of the very first Godzilla that ever lived on Planet Earth, Kiryu and Godzilla have both developed a somewhat partnership ever since they first met but when they fight by each other’s side in battle, they have a very unshakable bond that makes them brothers in arms right up to the end (since they are both genetically identical to each other).

Enemies[]

Godzilla and King Ghidorah[]

As King Ghidorah is among the most powerful monster in the universe, he is considered to be Godzilla’s most famous, most classic and most memorable adversarial foe. It was extremely rare that Godzilla could defeat him on his own, but King Ghidorah is considered to be the strongest out of all of Godzilla's enemies and might possibly be just as strong as or even stronger than Godzilla due to the fact that Godzilla always has help from other monsters or humans interfering with control over King Ghidorah. Because of that, King Ghidorah was ranked by Godzilla and others as Godzilla’s archenemy.

Godzilla and Gigan[]

Gigan is considered Godzilla's most brutal and violent opponent and because of that, he is very strong, fast, and ferocious and was a difficult and brutal opponent as he can make the heroic Godzilla bleed rapidly, thus being one of the few monsters in the series to cause Godzilla to visibly bleed. Godzilla and Gigan share a relationship based on rivalry rather than aggression, and while the two are perfectly willing to beat each other to death, there's an air of respect that each has for the other.

Godzilla and MechaGodzilla[]

As Godzilla’s alienetic, cybernetic, mechanical doppelganger and one of his most powerful enemies, MechaGodzilla is considered Godzilla’s deadliest enemy, very nearly killing Godzilla and destroying Rodan.
