Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla (ゴジラ対メカゴジラ, Gojira tai mekagojira) is the sixth installment of the Godzilla Sagaverse. In the film, the Japanese Government orders the creation of a giant robotic creature to fight Godzilla. It was followed by Mothra I: Godzilla Against Mothra.

Godzilla has returned and the Earth Defense Forces has built a mecha in order to stop him and other monsters; a cybernetic monster named Kiryu, or MechaGodzilla. Now it is a battle of science against nature. Who will win?

- Godzilla: An ancient dinosaur mutated by the atomic radiation of the H-Bomb and is now attracted to power plants all over Japan.
- Minilla: The son of Godzilla who aids his father in fighting various monsters, including the residents of Monster Island.
- Anguirus: A giant ankylosaurus that survived the extinction of the dinosaurs.
- Rodan: A giant, irradiated pteranodon that survived the extinction of the dinosaurs.
- Manda: The Goddess of the Sea, Manda a Chinese dragon-like sea serpent.
- Kiryu: Also known as MechaGodzilla, Kiryu is a cyborg identical to Godzilla constructed by EDF to serve as humanity’s defender against Godzilla and other monsters.
